Frequently asked questions about CS2 trade-ups
What is a trade-up contract in CS2?
A trade-up exchanges 10 same-rarity skins for one next-rarity item; a Covert contract uses 5 inputs for a knife or gloves. CraftProfit assigns collection shares by input count and splits each share among that collection's outcomes. Doppler phase weights are model estimates.
How is the result float calculated?
CraftProfit averages normalized input floats across all inputs: 10 for a normal contract or 5 for Covert. It scales the average into the outcome's float range: float = avg × (max − min) + min. Compare normalized floats when inputs have different ranges.
Can you profit from trade-up contracts?
A positive expected return does not guarantee profit from one contract. The scanner compares combinations and checks available input listings where possible. Estimated options are marked separately. Steam sale proceeds stay in your Steam Wallet.
Where do the prices come from?
Steam (a full market sweep with listing depth plus the live order book), CSFloat (bulk feed and live listings) and White.Market (full per-listing feed). Bulk feeds refresh hourly, ladders are per-lot.
